Pearle Hotel And Spa Wedding | Jessica and Stefano

As a candid and creative wedding photographer, I’m always on the lookout for venues that offer unique photo opportunities and spaces that cater to various styles of weddings. The Pearle Hotel & Spa in Burlington, Ontario, is a standout in this regard, combining modern amenities with a touch of historical charm. It’s a great venue for those who are looking for a mix of elegance and functionality, and I’m proud to be a trusted and preferred photographer at Pearle Hotel and all Pearle Wedding Venues.

Initial Impressions

The Pearle Hotel & Spa strikes a nice balance between contemporary design and traditional elements, and its location between Toronto and Niagara makes it a convenient choice for guests coming from either direction. The interior of the hotel is designed with a modern aesthetic, featuring clean lines and upscale furnishings that work well in photographs. I absolutely love the staircase that you’re greeted with when you first enter, the stairs and lights make for perfect night photos!

Inspiring Photographic Opportunities

The hotel offers several picturesque settings that are perfect for wedding photography. Inside, the venue provides a range of backdrops and large windows, from luxurious to minimalist, ideal for capturing different moments of the wedding day (especially creative portraits). The outdoor settings include views of Lake Ontario, which can serve as a stunning backdrop for couple portraits, especially during sunset!

Flexible Event Spaces

What makes The Pearle Hotel & Spa particularly appealing is its array of event spaces. The grand room can host large receptions and its high ceilings and elegant design make it a prime location for capturing key moments like the first dance and the evening’s speeches.

The ceremony space features high ceilings and large (I mean LARGE!) windows where your guests can catch glimpses of the beautiful Burlington Waterfront (that is, if they can see through the tears!).

Practical Considerations

The Pearle Hotel & Spa is designed to cater to the needs of a wide range of wedding parties. The attention to detail in both the public and private spaces ensures that guests are comfortable and that the wedding day runs smoothly from a logistical standpoint. For photographers, the variety of settings from indoor to outdoor and the thoughtful interior design allow for creative flexibility and ease in capturing the day’s events.

Conclusion

Photographing a wedding at The Pearle Hotel & Spa offers a mix of traditional and contemporary elements that can enhance any wedding gallery. For any couple considering this venue, it promises a blend of convenience, style, and comfort! Despite being here often for weddings, I recently planned a staycation here and couldn’t believe how quickly I felt I was transported into a destination environment, despite not being a far drive from my house. If you’re looking for a photographer for your day who knows the property and brings a relaxed + fun energy, fill out my contact form and get in touch!

Elle by Stella Villa and Gardens | Justine and Jacob

Elle By Stella Villa and Gardens is one of my favourite wedding venues in Waterloo Region and I’m so proud to be a trusted and preferred wedding photographer there and all Stella Co venues including Cellar 52 and Timber Barn!

As a candid and creative wedding photographer in Kitchener, Elle by Stella is an easy drive for me as it’s nestled outside the beautiful town of St Jacobs Ontario where I spend a good portion of each wedding season photographing weddings and engagement sessions. From the shops, to the restaurants, to the trails and riverside views, St Jacobs is a quaint and stunning location for your wedding day.

Here are a few of my favourite things about Elle:

  • The venue features an expansive reception space, creating a luxurious and timeless feel for your reception. From the overhead florals of the head table, to the remarkable light fixtures, Elle is a beautiful palette for you use as you bring your wedding vision to life.

  • Elle St Jacobs features an incredible and large patio space, where your guests can enjoy a relaxed cocktail hour. The patio space features it’s own bar and tables with a built in fire pit, so your guests can enjoy conversation over a nice beverage and fire. If it’s a hot day, the large patio tree will keep everyone cool!

  • Elle features a one-of-a-kind ceremony space. As you’ll see in the photos below, the venue’s ceremony space is expansive and allows for anticipation to occur as guests await wedding party members and couples to walk down the aisle. At the head of the ceremony space is a picturesque waterfall that you can stand in front of as you marry the love of your life.

  • While I aim to make photos anywhere and with any weather conditions, the surroundings of Elle make for stunning photos in every direction.

  • The FOOD. Gilt Catering is known in Waterloo region for bringing delicious eats to every event, and Elle by Stella is no different! Every wedding I photograph here has guests raving about their reception meal (and the snacks, because who doesn’t like snacks on a wedding day?)

Justine and Jacob had the perfect day at Elle St Jacobs, and I am grateful to have been there for it all. Justine and Jacob hired me to capture photography as well as a highlight film of their day, and my good friend Taylor kindly came along for the day to produce an hour long behind the scenes video showcasing my thought process on the wedding day as I photographed and filmed it. Below you’ll find the behind the scenes video, the highlight film we captured for the couple, and 75+ of my favourite images from this wedding day at Elle by Stella Wedding Villa and Gardens.

Barn Swallow Fields Wedding | Shannon and Matt

Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher Farms has quickly become one of my favourite wedding venues located just outside of Guelph Ontario, and I’m thrilled to be a preferred photographer there. If you’re looking for a barn wedding venue in Southern Ontario that has loads of character while also providing a relaxed wedding day experience, you’ll want to book Barn Swallow Fields quickly before every engaged couple discovers and books them for their day!

As a candid and creative wedding photographer based out of Kitchener, here are a few things I love about Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher Farms:

  • Located in Guelph/Eramosa Ontario, Barn Swallow Fields is an easy drive from neighbouring cities and from major airports. Very convenient for any guests travelling in for your wedding day.

  • The interior and exterior touches of Barn Swallow Fields are simply amazing. The owner Dana has done an amazing job of sourcing unique finds that really add to the aesthetic and character of each wedding day.

  • Both the venue walls and surrounding fields make for unique and interesting wedding photographs. From the bright red barn doors, to the surrounding fields, there is no shortage of backdrops for your wedding photographs.

  • Barn Swallow Fields features a beautiful ceremony location that overlooks the fields of Rockwood, located near Guelph (a quick drive from the greater Toronto area). The views are stunning, but I also appreciate how easy it is for guests to arrive at the ceremony site. The ceremony site shares the same ground as the venue building, so it’s accessible for all guests to arrive comfortably. Once the ceremony concludes, the cocktail hour location (the bin bar) is a short and scenic walk away so that your guests can be eating and drinking in no time before heading into the reception space for dinner.

  • The reception space at Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher farms features beautiful wood beams and high white ceilings, as well as large chandeliers and industrial black and gold lights. This brings a luxurious and expansive feel to the venue that I find other barn style venues tend to lack.

Barn Swallow Fields truly is the perfect blend of both tasteful modern luxury and timeless elegance. The team at Barn Swallow Fields is down to the earth and ready to provide you and your guests with an amazing experience. Reach out today and tell them Liam sent you.

Kitchener Public Library Wedding Day | Jacob and Michael

Jacob and Michael’s Wedding Day at Kitchener Public Library was absolutely incredible! I am so grateful to have spent the day in Downtown Kitchener capturing all the love, smiles, and laughter.

As a candid and creative wedding photographer in Kitchener Ontario, I enjoy finding inspiration in all the nooks and crannies located in the area. Whether I’ve been somewhere a hundred times or zero times, I’m always inspired by the people in front of me and the light around me.

Jacob and Michael had the perfect wedding day: starting off by getting ready at The Walper Hotel (one of my favourite Kitchener wedding venues and hotels) followed by ceremony and reception at Kitchener Public Library. Not only is the KPL a really cool space in itself, but is now operating as a wedding venue as well! From the books to the murals to the large windows and abundant natural light, Kitchener Public Library is now a wedding venue unlike anything you’ve ever seen. I’ve worked with KPL for years and I’m delighted to have been added to their preferred wedding vendors list.

Enjoy the blog! I’m in the middle of another incredible wedding season in Kitchener-Waterloo, and love being in the rhythm of capturing and creating incredible work for my couples. Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher Farms Wedding Film

Maddy and Riley had a stunning September 2023 Wedding Day at one of southern Ontario’s most charming new wedding venues, Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher Farms, located just outside of Guelph Ontario. While I usually only blog my photography wedding days, I wanted to showcase this wedding film at Barn Swallow Fields because it is quickly becoming one of my favourite new venues in Southern Ontario and I am proud to be a preferred photographer + videographer with Barn Swallow. If you’re getting married there and want to reach out, just fill out my contact form here!

If you don’t know, Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher Farms was dreamt + built by Dana Thatcher and her husband Adam. Barn Swallow is a venue unlike any venue you’ve seen - the views and unique comfort of a DIY countryside wedding, but with a phenomenal team and building in place. Barn Swallow features countryside views, a beautiful outdoor ceremony location, bright red barn doors (really lovely colour), a reception space with the perfect views for all of your guests, playgrounds for children attending weddings, and a dynamic and rich landscape for your wedding portraits and films.

From a photography or videography perspective, working at Barn Swallow Fields is a treat. The interior of the venue is bright and spacious, and the surrounding area provides plenty of options for photographing or filming. Any time I have worked with couples at Barn Swallow, I’ve enjoyed exploring the property as well as utilizing the building textures that Dana and Adam so perfectly implemented.

Maddy and Riley hosted their wedding day at Barn Swallow Fields by Thatcher Farms in Sept 2023, and it was such a delight to film! Their day was bright and warm (VERY warm for September), and I absolutely loved spending time with these two. Their wedding film features views of barn swallow fields, shows the interior of the venue as well as the exterior, and the (super) cute and genuine connection that Maddy and Riley share.

Enjoy this wedding film and come back again! I’m excited for another year of photographing + filming weddings in 2024 and beyond.

Sam and Jacinta's Wedding Day at Cambridge Mill

This was one for the BOOKS! Sam and Jacinta have such a lovely energy together and ever since our initial call together, I absolutely couldn’t WAIT to photograph their day!

Sam and Jacinta chose Cambridge Mill (one of my favourite Kitchener/Waterloo Wedding Venues) as their venue to host their celebration, BUT as if it couldn’t get any better, they also chose to get ready together at Langdon Hall, one of my other favourite Kitchener Wedding Venues.

This day included first looks, private vows at Langdon Hall, portraits on the balcony of Cambridge Mill as well as the staircase in from of Cambridge Mill, a touching and joyful ceremony, an outfit change for the brides, and one of my favourite photos I’ve ever captured in the stairwell of Cambridge Mill. All around, this wedding was overflowing with joy and class and I’m honoured that Sam and Jacinta chose me to capture it all.

Like many of my couples, Sam and Jacinta chose a package with a highlight film in it, which you’ll find at the top of this blog post! Enjoy the film, enjoy the photos, and check back here soon for more posts! 2023 was an amazing year filled with so many beautiful weddings and I’m looking forward to another busy 2024 wedding season.

This job gets better every year. Thank you for reading and viewing! -Liam

Natalie and Josh's Elora Mill Wedding Day

This was one of those weddings where my cheek muscles hurt at the end of the day, from smiling and laughing so much with Natalie and Josh and their welcoming friends and family.

Natalie and Josh got married at one of my favourite Waterloo Region Wedding Venues, Elora Mill. Elora Mill is a part of the Pearle Weddings group, who also operate Whistle Bear, Cambridge Mill, Ancaster Mill, The Farm, Spencers at the Waterfront, and The Pearle Hotel and Spa.

As of 2023, I am thrilled to be a preferred photographer with Pearle Weddings, I have worked at Pearle Wedding Venues for years and am looking forward to more weddings with them in 2024, 2025, and beyond! They also just announced plans for a new venue in Niagara Falls, the old Toronto Power Station. Not coming until 2027, but some very exciting news as Pearle Hospitality has a longstanding history of successfully transforming heritage locations to be used again for weddings, events, and tourism.

Enjoy this look back on Natalie and Josh’s wedding day! This blog post contains nearly 100 images, as well as a highlight film at the very top. It was such a privilege to capture photos and a highlight film for Natalie and Josh at Elora Mill, and I’m looking forward to more weddings here in 2024! Speaking of, my 2024 wedding calendar is filling fast, so reach out today if you want to have me capture your wedding - I can’t wait to hear from you.

Cellar 52 Wedding Photos: Kristen & Chris' Day in St Jacobs, Ontario

Cellar 52 is one of my favourite wedding venues in Waterloo Region, and I was delighted to photograph Kristen and Chris’ wedding day there in September of 2023!

While I’ve been photographing weddings at Cellar 52 and all Stella Collective venues for years, I always find myself newly inspired by each couple that I work with, especially combined with the dynamic surroundings of the St Jacobs area outside of Cellar 52 and the venue interiors as well. In this post you’ll find two of my favourite Cellar 52 images from this wedding season - Kristen and Chris outside of Cellar 52 being photographed with the stairs and the colourful St Jacobs mural. The photo at the very end of this post is a creative night portrait that was actually created using a combination of the bridal suite on the second floor of Cellar 52, and the string lights hanging on the patio on the venue, where cocktail hour takes place during warmer wedding days.

I’m thrilled with how both of these photos turned out, and I look forward to continuing to iterate on these ideas in the coming years of photographing weddings at Cellar 52 in St Jacobs Ontario. Beyond the creative portraits, this blog post is FULL of candid moments from Kristen and Chris’ gorgeous wedding day. You’ll find detail photos and portraits that were captured inside of the sunroom of Cellar 52, you’ll find a touching first look (something I highly recommend), you’ll find teary-eyed wedding members, hugs from parents, food photos from the always delicious Gilt Catering, and beautiful sunset photos in the quaint town of St Jacobs Ontario.

In addition to photographing their day, we also captured a highlight film for Kristen and Chris which you’ll find just below this. Elle By Stella Wedding Day | Laura and Kieran

Elle By Stella Wedding Villa and Gardens is where I photographed my very first wedding nearly a decade ago, so it was an honour to return to it for Laura and Kieran’s beautiful summer wedding day in St Jacobs Ontario. This was made extra meaningful by the fact that I am a preferred photographer + videographer at Elle by Stella and with all Stella Collective Wedding Venues including Cellar 52 and The Timber Barn!

Prior to being transformed by Stella Co in 2022, Elle was a longstanding Waterloo Region Wedding Venue called Three Bridges Event Centre, and the Stella Co have done an amazing job evolving the space and preparing it for 2023, 2024 and beyond. Elle By Stella is an incredible venue in itself, but is also nestled in the beautiful countryside of St Jacobs and features unique spaces for your guests to enjoy every aspect of the wedding day.

Laura and Kieran had an incredible day surrounded by their family and friends, and I was so grateful that they asked me to capture it! Laura and Kieran also had a highlight film included in their photography package, which you’ll find at the top of this blog post followed by the photographed moments of the day.

If you’re considering getting married at Elle by Stella Villa and Gardens, I highly recommend it! They always go above and beyond in creating a welcoming and relaxed environment and I am looking forward to many more weddings here in 2024, 2025, and beyond.

Uptown Waterloo Engagement Photos | Cali + Ben

I was so delighted to meet up with Cali + Ben in Uptown Waterloo recently for their engagement photos. I met Cali and Ben earlier this year after their venue put us in touch, and we hit it off immediately. I am so excited to be a part of their 2024 wedding at The Timber Barn in St Jacobs!

Enjoy this look at their Uptown Waterloo Engagement photos, and get in touch today if you’ve been considering reaching out! 2024 is booking up incredibly quickly for me and I can’t wait for all of the awesome weddings + sessions to come next year.

Exploring Rustic Charm: My Review of Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher Farms

Recently I visited Ontario’s newest and hottest country wedding venue, called Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher Farms. Working with Dana and the team at Barn Swallow Fields has been an amazing experience, and I am delighted to be joining them as a preferred photographer. If you’re interested in photography or videography (or both) for your wedding at Barn Swallow Fields, please fill out my contact form and I’ll be in touch with special preferred vendor pricing.

A Scenic Drive Away

What immediately stands out about this venue, nestled in Guelph/Eramosa, is it's easy accessibility from the neighbouring Kitchener-Waterloo area where I capture most of my weddings. Just a short drive from Kitchener or Guelph/Eramosa, Barn Swallow Fields provides an idyllic and relaxed setting - which will surely impress your guests as they arrive for your wedding day. On that note, parking is extremely abundant, so you’ll have no issues with space for guests to park their cars on your wedding day. As your guests arrive they’ll pull into the Thatcher Farms driveway, and then turn off into the parking area of the venue (bonus, the venue is visible from the parking lot so less chance of guests wandering in the wrong direction). As well, cars can pull up to the venue doors for guests that require more accessibility.

PHOTOGRAPHIC OPORTuNITIES

As a creative wedding photographer, Barn Swallow Fields is a dream come true both inside and out. I always appreciate dynamic locations and especially love the combination of the nature and farmland fields, mixed in with the wood and metal textures of the venue interior/exterior itself (the red barn doors are especially striking to my eyes!). With its 140 acres of farmland, this venue truly sets a magnificent stage for a rural Ontario wedding.

Rustic Elegance Combined with Modern Comforts

Barn Swallow Fields’ barn exudes an old-world charm with its wooden beams and lofty ceilings, but don't be fooled – modern amenities are at your disposal. The venue doors and washrooms are easily accessible for your guests and the venue features a couple of rooms for getting ready in. It’s this blend of rustic elegance and contemporary comfort that sets Barn Swallow Fields apart and the blend of rustic/modern really gives you the best of both worlds. I was also impressed by the playground and slide that is a short walk from the barn doors, this makes for an easy way for parents to entertain their little ones while attending your wedding.

Wedding day EXPERIENCE

Barn Swallow Fields keeps your wedding day experience in mind with some fabulous add-ons such as: Antique dishes and place settings, multiple bar areas (one satellite bar for outdoor cocktails and one permanent bar located within the venue, just steps from each table), as well as garden games and a bon-fire area. To top it all off, the venue features beautiful church windows and an antique wooden table for signing papers during wedding ceremonies. While the venue is large enough to host larger gatherings (I believe the max guest size is around 140-160 people), Barn Swallow Fields is an exclusive venue, meaning they will only host one wedding per date.

Exceptional Service and Farm-to-Table Cuisine

Set up a meeting with Dana and you’ll see that friendly and fast service is a hallmark of Barn Swallow Fields. The dedicated staff takes care of all your wedding day details with impeccable attention. The venue's unique offering of farm-to-table cuisine adds a delightful touch to your wedding feast and a nod to the local culinary scene of Guelph, Kitchener, and Waterloo. I’ve also worked closely with their preferred caterer, Indulge Kitchen, and can guarantee they’d also be an amazing fit for your wedding day. Just tell them that Liam sent you!

FINAL Thoughts

There's something truly special about Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher Farms, and it is clear how much work Dana and the team have put into it. Whether it's the beautiful and easy drive from Kitchener or Guelph, the rustic charm, the intimate environment, the beauty of the venue, or the friendly and responsive service (Dana is amazing!), Barn Swallow Fields at Thatcher Farms will no doubt become a VERY popular Ontario wedding venue in the years to come.

Moody Downtown Kitchener Engagement Photos | Sam and Jacinta

Downtown Kitchener, Ontario, offers charming and dynamic backdrops for capturing engagement photos. With its stunning architecture, Victoria Park, and unique urban vibe, there are endless possibilities for creating beautiful and memorable photos. If you're planning to capture engagement photos in downtown Kitchener, here are five tips to make the most of your session.

  1. Scout the Location Ahead of Time (or work with me!)
Before your scheduled photo shoot, take some time to explore the area around the Walper Hotel. Look for interesting backdrops, unique architectural features, and spots with good lighting. As a Kitchener Wedding Photographer, I am familiar with all the nooks and crannies of the city and love capturing sessions downtown for the dynamic opportunities that always present themselves.

  2. Plan Your Outfits Accordingly
What you wear for your engagement photos can set the tone for the entire shoot. Since you'll be in an urban environment, consider opting for a slightly more formal look. Sam and Jacinta nailed the vibe for their session, as they wanted something on the moody side (and the rainy January weather really helped with this!). In general, I recommend neutral tones combined with a splash of primary colours. Reds, blues, and yellows really help your photos pop.

  3. Use the Environment to Your Advantage
Downtown Kitchener offers a variety of unique and interesting backdrops for your photos. Look for ways to incorporate the cityscape into your shots, whether it’s in Goudies Lane or using the architecture of a nearby building to frame your shots. As a creative wedding photographer in Kitchener, I enjoy finding something new and interesting in every location I find myself in.

  4. Timing is Everything
Aim to schedule your session during the "golden hour," which is typically an hour before sunset or after sunrise. During this time, the light is soft and warm, creating a beautiful, romantic glow. That said, be ready to embrace whatever comes your way, and work with someone you trust! Sam and Jacinta wanted a moody vibe for their engagement photos, so we leaned into the rainy weather and made some amazing photos together because of it.

  5. Relax and Have Fun
Above all, remember that your engagement photos should be a fun and enjoyable experience. Don't stress too much about getting the perfect shot. Instead, focus on enjoying each other's company. A relaxed and comfortable couple will always make for the best photos.

In conclusion, capturing engagement photos in Downtown Kitchener near the Walper Hotel can be a beautiful and memorable experience. By following these tips, you'll be able to create stunning photos that showcase your love and the unique beauty of this city.

Enjoy this recent session with Sam and Jactinta!

Winter Wedding Day at Cambridge Mill | Amy and Travis

I recently had the privilege of photographing + filming Amy and Travis’ beautiful wedding day at Cambridge Mill, one of my favourite wedding venues to photograph in Kitchener-Waterloo Region.

While putting together this blog post, I thought it might be fun to centre it around some thoughts about winter wedding days and planning for them! As a candid and creative wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of capturing some of the most stunning and intimate moments during winter weddings. In this blog post, I want to share with you some of my top tips and ideas for capturing the perfect winter wedding photographs.

  • Embrace the Season AND the Weather

Winter offers a beautiful and unique landscape for wedding photography. From snow-covered trees and buildings to frosty grass and icicles, the winter season offers plenty of opportunities to capture magical and unique photographs. As a photographer, I encourage my clients to embrace the season and use the winter scenery as a backdrop for their wedding photos. Sometimes in Ontario, this may even mean embracing wind and rain while capturing photos together - this is how some of my favourite wedding photos have been captured.

  • Plan for the Light and Consider a First Look

This is true all year! But in the Canadian winter it’s especially essential to plan for this when taking wedding photographs. With less daylight during the winter months, photographers need to be mindful of the time of day for the best light. I strongly encourage doing a “first look” for winter weddings in particular, as this will allow us to capture a dynamic range of photos together - some during the brightest part of the day, some during golden hour, and perhaps a couple night photos as well. Amy and Travis originally did not want to do a first look, but after talking it through with me, decided it would help their day to flow more efficiently and allow them more time to capture photographs together. On the day, they told me they were so thrilled with seeing each other before the ceremony and were so glad I recommended it.

  • Get Creative with the Wardrobe

Winter is a great time to get creative with your wardrobe. Incorporating winter accessories like scarves, gloves, and hats can add a unique and personal touch to your wedding photographs. As a photographer, I like to encourage my clients to be creative with their outfits, as this can help to create unique and memorable photographs.

  • Don't Forget About the Indoors

While winter weddings offer a unique and beautiful outdoor backdrop, it's essential not to forget about the indoors - which will also impact your decision on what wedding venue to choose! During the winter months, the indoors can offer warmth and intimacy, creating a cozy atmosphere for wedding photographs. As a creative photographer, I challenge myself to utilize each space (no matter how unassuming) to create awesome photographs. For example: while I’ve captured many weddings at Cambridge Mill, the light and moment aligned just right at Amy and Travis’ wedding to allow me to capture a creative photograph of them between the curtains in the dining room.

Enjoy this look at Amy and Travis’ day, it’s always a delight to photograph at Pearle Wedding Venues.

Walper Hotel Wedding Day | Steph and Chris

The Walper Hotel is one of my favourite venues in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region. It’s absolutely packed with character, both outside and inside. You’d never guess that such a stunning establishment would be nestled right in the core of Downtown Kitchener, which makes for countless amazing photographs in every location as you lean into the dynamic surroundings of the downtown Kitchener streets.

Like many of my 2022 couples, Steph and Chris found me during the pandemic and booked me for their day. They were amazing to work with, and I will never be able to thank them enough for their trust in the process. It’s no easy feat to select the photographer to be present with you during such important moments, and I always keep this in mind when I arrive to each and every wedding day. Beyond that, Steph and Chris were just plain FUN to work with, and put so much hard work and intention into every detail of their wedding day.

Enjoy these photos from Stephanie and Chris’ wedding day at the Walper Hotel, looking forward to returning here in 2023, 2024, and beyond.

Guelph Arboretum is one of my favourite locations for engagement and wedding photographs and I was thrilled when Natasha and Radek selected it as the location for their engagement session.

From the fountain to the hedges to the various trails nearby, Guelph Arboretum is a fantastic location for photos if you’re looking for a charming location with a dynamic set of backdrops for your engagement or wedding photos. Recently I also captured a wedding here in September 2022, I’ll have to blog that one soon as well!

Thanks for sticking around to check out Natasha and Radek’s engagement photos - I’m very excited for their wedding day at the Walper Hotel in Kitchener in 2023.

The Timber Barn St Jacobs is one of Waterloo Region’s newest and most unique wedding venues - brought to life by the Stella Collective. I’m proud to be a preferred photographer with the Timber Barn and have worked closely with Stella Co at all of their wedding venues including Cellar 52 and Elle by Stella Wedding Villa and Gardens.

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing Miranda and Ryan’s beautiful autumn wedding day at the Timber Barn, and was blown away by the work and attention to detail that has been put into it. Nestled within the heart of St Jacob’s, you’d never guess that this wedding venue is located just steps away from the Main Street. Meanwhile, the interior will have you amazed at every little detail the Stella Co team has put into it.

Enjoy this look back on M&R’s wedding day at The Timber Barn St Jacobs! I am looking forward to many more weddings here in 2023+2024!

Beautiful Cranberry Creek Gardens Wedding | Lindsay and David

Lindsay and David had the most beautiful day at Cranberry Creek Gardens in Delhi Ontario. Surrounded by their family and friends, they tied the knot in front of a picturesque old chapel, and I was there to capture the whole thing!

Thanks to Lindsay and David for asking me to capture their day, and thank you to Cranberry Creek Gardens + all the vendors involved for their work on the day. Many laughs (and tears) were had from friends and family (and maybe me, okay definitely me).

Enjoy these Cranberry Creek Gardens Wedding Photos and I’ll see you in the next blog!

Danielle + Tom | The Pearle Hotel and Spa Hotel Wedding Day

When I tell you this wedding was a party, I mean it was a PARTY. Danielle and Tom were so welcoming and I was thrilled to spend the day with their friends and family at the Pearle Hotel and Spa in Burlington Ontario (one of my new favourite venues along with other fantastic Pearle Weddings properties like Elora Mill and Cambridge Mill).

Enjoy this look back on their Pearle Hotel and Spa Wedding Photos + highlight film and check back again soon for more 2022 blog posts going live! This has been an incredible year shooting 45+ weddings around Kitchener Waterloo, and 2023 is booking incredibly quickly as well. Grateful for my clients and to be able to be living my dream job.

Katie + Stefan | Destination Session at Bahia Principe Tulum

This was certainly one for the books! Earlier this year I had the privilege of meeting up with Katie and Stefan in Mexico, where we captured their couples session at Bahia Grand Principe Tulum. Katie and Stefan have been together for 9 years, but never done a session like this together! They absolutely rocked it and I’m so proud of the images we captured together.

I have a blog post coming shortly from a wedding at Bahia Grand Principe Tulum (highly recommend if you’re planning a destination wedding!), but for now, enjoy this look at Katie + Stefan’s couples session.

Bianca + Chris | Spencer's at the Waterfront Wedding

Bianca and Chris’s wedding day at Spencers at the Waterfront was packed with so much beauty and laughter that I just had to put together a blog with some sneak peeks from the day. I always enjoy working with the Pearle Weddings and Events team and I’m excited to capture many beautiful days at their wedding venues in the coming years including Spencers and the newly opened Pearle Hotel (VERY exciting!)

Enjoy this look back on B&C’s wedding day!
